Keyleigh Verma

Keyleigh Verma is one of our trained hair stylists. She has been hairdressing for 12 years and joined Suzanne's Hair & Beauty Clinic in April 2014.

She says: "I can honestly say it's the nicest team of girls I've worked with. It's a pleasure going to work."

Check out some of Keyleigh's hair creations at the end of this article.  In the meantime, we ask Keyleigh a few questions to find out what makes her tick...

What do you love about hairdressing?  I love all aspects of hairdressing but I'd say I'm really passionate about creative work, creative colouring and hair up. Michelle and I do a lot of hair up for all occasions (weddings/proms) and we also offer a mobile service for bridal parties.

I strive for perfection and always do my best to make sure my clients enjoy a relaxed salon experience and leave 100% happy.

What is so special about working at Suzanne's?  I do absolutely love my job.  I've built some great relationships with my clients but always remain very professional.

Who or what inspires you?  I have to say my inspiration comes from my clients. They never fail to challenge me and they always keep me busy with creating new looks and using different techniques.

My other inspiration is my best friend/partner in crime Michelle who I've worked with for a long time.  We're always thinking up new colours to try and, to my relief, we tend to experiment on her hair!

If you had to live on a desert island, which three hair product items would you take with you?  If I were to live on a desert island my 3 must haves would be....

1... my trusty comb, for back combing because nobody likes flat hair. 2... argan oil to keep my hair looking and feeling good as my hair tends to dry up in the sun. 3... my rollers as I mostly wear my hair wavy. I mean I still want to look glam even if I am on a desert island!

We hear your grandad is a bit of a hit at the salon.  Tell us more!  It's a lovely feeling knowing your clients trust you completely with their hair and seeing them leave with a big smile on their faces.  Well I certainly know they leave happy when my grandad's made his weekly visit with his delicious home made cakes. So my clients do accuse me of trying to fatten them up but hey, it's all part of the service!

What do you love about your job?   I love all aspects of beauty therapy but doing pedicures, shellac nails and Dermalogica facials give me the most satisfaction.  I really enjoy meeting up with my regular customers who have been with me for quite a few years now and have become very good friends with all of them.

What gives you the greatest job satisfaction?  It gives me great satisfaction knowing that my customers go out of the salon feeling refreshed and pampered and eager to re book there next appointment.

Which celebrity would you most like to see walk into your beauty room?  I would love to do a Shellac pedicure on Victoria Beckham.

Who inspires you?  The person who inspires me the most would have to be Suzanne (the salon owner).  She is hard working and dedicated to the salon and all of my colleagues.

Which three items would you take with you if you were on a desert island? The 3 things I would take on a desert island are mirror, tweezers, Dermalogica SPF 50sun care.

What is your ultimate ambition? My ambition is to try and work in the beauty industry for 50 years or as long as physically possible.

Describe yourself... I describe my self as friendly, reliable and professional and always aim to give 100%.
